August 2024 - Utah visit

In August we visited Utah for my niece's wedding.  We hung out with Alia and Kate while we were there.

August 2024 - Misc

In August my lease was about up so I traded in for a new car - a Mustang Mach-E!  This is our first electric vehicle and I have to say that I love it!  It's so smooth and responsive.  I love driving it.

In a turn of events would could have never predicted but that made complete sense, the Schaefers came to California one year after us!  They moved to Sacramento in July!  The weekend they moved in we flew up there to help them unpack and get settled.  It was incredible to see them and to share a home state again.

Yet another YW activity!  This time boating out on the Pacific Ocean.  Lots of dolphins and sea lions were hanging around.

Camilla started sophomore year in August.  She hopes this is her last year as California offers a test that you can take at the end of sophomore year that allows you to be considered a high school graduate.

The place Deanna and Camilla have been going for allergy shots is right by a cheese sandwich place so they have gone there once or twice after allergy shots.

Alia and I have a podcast with the O'Neals, who we met in Iowa.  We have done over 300 episodes together now.  Rivka was in Utah for a conference so she got to hang out with Alia!

We've still been going to the temple weekly and it's been glorious!

Now in addition to birds and lizards, the cats have started bringing in mice that they kill.

July 2024 - 4th of July

We had a lot of fun at the local 4th of July party and fireworks with friends again this year!  They hold it on a lake and we rent a cabana where we hang out, have good food, watch the sun set then watch fireworks.
